Deep Cove Private Suite

Description

Newly renovated, ground level, 600 sq ft space, with in-suite laundry & soaker tub. Access to hot tub, cool pool, heated outdoor shower, bikes, barbecue, fire-pit, and hammoc. We are minutes from the beach, public transit, biking trails, & ski slopes, and 20 mins from Vancouver. ---- ABOUT THE SPACE ---- The suite is nice and cool in the hot summer months. And there is heating you control in the colder winter months. The ceilings are high and the room is open & spacious. We (Dave and I), live on the property along with a VERY friendly small maltese dog named Rossko. He might come say hi to you in the backyard. There are 2 beds available. One is a queen size bed. The other is a double size bed, (which works well for two small kids or one adult). I love pillows. So there are lots of pillows for you in there. I have put a small cooler, a backpack, umbrella, and a beach bag in the room for you to use. The washroom has a large soaker tub, shower, sink and heated toilet/bidet. We also provide you with fluffy bath towels and hot tub/pool towels. There is also a washer & dryer in your suite for your convenience. There is a full size fridge, a barbecue and a microwave. There is also a kettle, crock pot, toaster, blender, and a coffee maker. Coffee, tea, and cream & sugar are all included. There are glass dishes as well as paper plates (if you prefer) in the suite for you. This rental is for the studio space and does not include us cooking you meals. There are many wonderful restaurants and cafes just walking distance away. Sometimes we will bring you a snack platter or fresh baked cookies, if we are making some for ourselves :) In your fridge are some basic condiments that you are welcome to use. I often put some "in season" fruit in the suite for you. There is some canned salmon left in the suite for you as well, which I get from my fisherman friend. There is a 40 inch flat screen TV, cable and Netflix. There is also a stereo with a dock for your iPhone music playlist. There is an assortment of reading material for you, in your suite, to borrow including National Geographic, beautiful British Columbia Magazine, travel books and an assortment of magazines and novels. I have a nice collection of hard-copy coffee table books that I have been collecting. I have put them in the suite for you to look through if you want to. I just ask that you keep them in the suite and out of the hands of small children please so they are not damaged. There is also a fan in there as well as extra blankets if you need them. The studio doubles as a photography studio when I do shoot, so there are studio lights mounted on the ceiling 13 feet up. These are not accessible to guests staying in the suite and are up out of the way. My studio name is Eclipse Photography and can be found online. ---- GUEST ACCESS ---- You have a private garden entrance to your suite through double french doors and a coded non-key entrance. The space is detached, quiet, and secluded from the rest of the house. ---- INTERACTION WITH GUESTS ---- You can ring our front door bell in an emergency or just text my cell anytime at all if you need us. One of us is usually around to assist you with directions, buses, or things to do if you want our help. If you wish no contact with us, that is fine too. There is an red binder full of info in the suite with information (and menus) of local restaurants, pubs, beer/wine shops, ski resorts, local hiking and biking trails, kayak shops and other attractions. There is also a chest full of an abundance of pamphlets on Vancouver, and nearby attractions and things to do. Vancouver is only 20 mins away. ---- OTHER THINGS TO NOTE ---- If you are interested in power boating or sailing I have friends with boats that will take you out for a fee, if you are interested. I can set that up for you. It is best you advise me of that prior to your arrival so they are not booked up. I have mountain bikes that you can borrow. As long as you sign a waiver and promise to stay with the bikes at all times or if you must get off them briefly, that you chain them up properly through the main frames (not wheels) to a secure post when you are not on them. I will supply the chain/lock. There is also a kayak rental shop two blocks from my house that is located right on the water. I highly recommend kayaking. SMALL Dogs are welcome at the suite. We just ask that you take them out through the back gate to the forest to go the bathroom and please clean up after them. If you leave the suite, you need to take them with you and not leave them alone unattended and barking. Smoking is allowed OUTSIDE ONLY in the designated areas with the ashtrays. That includes 420 smoking. No cigarette butts in the gardens please. Dave and I are pretty laid back people and we treat all guests like "friends" coming to visit. If you want exclusive privacy though, we will leave you alone as well :) We ourselves sometimes like to go away for a long weekend. If we are away, there will be someone that we leave in charge of the property and will tend to your needs. ---- HOUSE RULES ---- Prior permission is needed from us to bring other people on to our property, other than the four that are booked to be there. No parties or events. Not safe or suitable for infants (Under 2 years). It is just not child-proofed. Exceptions have been made. Just ask. Check in is 3PM or after. Check out is 11am or earlier. When you check out, we would appreciate if you place your sheets and pillow cases into the washing machine with a tablet. (Soap tablets supplied) It is not mandatory, but is appreciated. We ask that you keep your music down after 11pm as per our local bylaws and respect our neighbours and the rest of the household. Smoking is allowed, but only OUTSIDE in the designated areas of the swinging table & bench or firepit area. (See photos) And PLEASE put all cigarette butts out in the ash trays provided, not in the gardens. Thank you. Please pick up after your pets. HOT TUB; No glass in the hot tub. Plastic wine & cocktail glasses are supplied in the suite for your use. Please close the hot tub lid when you are not in it, both for animal safety and to preserve heat/energy. Please use your suite's indoor shower or the outdoor heated shower beside the hot tub, prior to using the hot tub...to remove the skins oils which effect the filter. The yard; including hot tub, pool, outdoor shower, hamic and firepit are all accessible to everyone on the property. If you would like exclusivity to the hot tub one night no problem. Just let me know. The space is not toddler "proofed" and is best for adults or older children.
