Disney has been capturing the imaginations of children and adults alike for almost 100 years with its tales of magical and brave characters going on epic journeys through inspiring landscapes. In 2019, the classic favourites are getting a full revamp with live-action remakes and sequels hitting the big screens. Ready to revisit these magical destinations? Make your travel dreams come true!

Aladdin – Arabian Nights in Oman

Unfortunately, you can’t take a magic carpet ride in Oman! However, the stars shimmering at night are truly a sight to behold. Stay in a Bedouin camp in Shargiya Sands or book an overnight tour of the Empty Quarter, an amazingly huge desert spanning parts of Oman, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and the UAE, where you’ll absolutely need a guide. Alternatively, you can live like a sultan in one of the country’s many opulent hotels.

. . #travel #traveling #mosque #architecturephotography #visiting #instatravel #instago #instagood #trip #holiday #photooftheday #muslim #travelling #tourism #tourist #instapassport #instatraveling #mytravelgram #travelgram #travelingram #igtravel #travelblogger #ootd #oman_traveller #oman #travelphotography

The Lion King – Circle of Life in Kenya

From the famous Giraffe Manor to the Masai Mara, you’ll get many opportunities to spot Pumba and friends in Kenya. For a luxurious and once in a lifetime Pride Lands-inspired experience, consider a family-friendly tour from The Safari Collection led by Robert Carr-Hartley, the same expert guide who led the animators of the original Lion King film during their research trip.

Frozen 2 – Build a Snowman in Norway

Norway is notoriously expensive, but if you’re looking for the true Frozen experience, you’ll just simply have to Let It Go! Start your frozen adventure at the annual Ice Music Festival in Finse, where everything, including the musical instruments, is made of glacial ice. For another chilly thrill head to Tromso, an icy Arctic outpost where you can meet Sven and his reindeer friends, and glimpse the Northern Lights. For a final pitstop, tour Akershus Fortress in Oslo, which is said to have been the inspiration behind Elsa and Anna’s castle.

The Little Mermaid – Under the Sea in Australia

While you won’t meet modern-day mermaids with wavy red hair and clamshell bikinis, you’ll be able to get up close and personal with dugongs and admire their grace and beauty. Flip your fins in Ningaloo Marine Park on the west coast of Australia for a chance to see these shy creatures, as well as manta rays, whale sharks, dolphins and turtles. Once you get back upon the shore, take your pick of Exmouth and Coral Bay beaches.

Beauty and the Beast – Tale as old as time in France

Say bonjour to Belle’s little town – or at least the numerous small towns that inspired it – in Alsace, a region of France that borders Switzerland and Germany. Eguisheim, Riquewihr and Ribeauvillé are just a few of the quaint locations said to have influenced the film’s animators with their narrow, cobbled streets and medieval architecture. Come to wander around, nibble on baguettes, browse for books, or even find love. Don’t forget to visit the nearby chateaux which resemble the Beast’s castle abode.
